I would like to draw the attention of the executive governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, as well as an observation of his recent move to recruit 1000 new health workers in the state.

We do have a large number of health workers who have been volunteering in various primary health care centres and general hospitals across the state for quite some time. Some of these institutions offer little incentives to the volunteers, while others do not. Matter of fact, they are undertaking this life-saving act out of patriotism and to enrich the health of the people of our state.

Sir, following the patriotism and patience demonstrated by these volunteer health workers in the state, they are supposed to be the first eligible individuals to be recruited in this exercise. By so doing, it would undoubtedly inspire others to offer themselves to the service of humanity.

I would like to, therefore, implore you, to do the needful for the betterment of our state.
