Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, on Friday presented N146.7 billion 2022 budget to the state House of Assembly.
Tagged: “Budget of Hope and Consolidation,” Ishaku said the government would be aggressive in collecting local revenues next year.

He said the budget which represents 3.64% increase over the previous one had a total recurrent expenditure estimate of N78.7bn and a capital expenditure estimate of N68.7bn.
He noted that the implementation of the current budget stood at 34.55 per cent as at the end of the third quarter against the projected 75 per cent due to the impact of COVID-19 and insecurity in the region.
Speaker of the House, Professor Joseph Kunini said the members were fully conscious of the need for expedient processing and passage of the bill into law and would work tirelessly to sustain the January to December budget circle that had been put in place by the current administration.
