Gov Fintiri adds N10k to Corps Members’ Allowance

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Borno State has increased the monthly allowance of NYSC members serving in Adamawa State from ₦20,000 to ₦30,000.

He made the announcement during the swearing in of the 2025 Batch B Stream I corps members at the Damare Orientation Camp in Girei LGA of the State.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to youth development and corps welfare.

Fintiri said the increment reflects efforts to create a conducive environment for service, alongside ongoing support through food supplies and other interventions.

He also revealed advanced plans to construct a new NYSC camp in the state and directed that corps members with relevant professional backgrounds be involved in supervising the project.

Congratulating the new corps members, he welcomed them to the state and described them as key partners in implementing government policies, especially in education.

Commissioner for Youths, Barr. Wali Yakubu, urged corps members to take the orientation seriously and embrace skills training for self-reliance.

State Coordinator Mrs. Osoro Caroline, praised the Governor’s support and commended the corps members’ discipline and enthusiasm.

The event featured the administration of the oath of allegiance by the Chief Judge, Justice Hapsat Abdurrahman, and the presentation of the NYSC journal to the Governor.
