Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has inaugurated a five-day professional training programme for senior government officials on protocol, etiquette, capacity building and attitudinal change in Yola.

The training, which began on Monday at the Government House, Yola, is expected to end on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Represented by the Head of Service, Pharm. Isa Ardo Shehu, the governor said the programme was aimed at enhancing efficiency, professionalism and service delivery across government ministries and departments.

He said the administration remained committed to addressing challenges in the public service, especially as the government continues to commission projects across the state.

Fintiri urged participants to take advantage of the training to improve their performance and personal development for effective service delivery.

The programme is being organised by Platinum Protocol and Verity Consultants Limited and sponsored by the Adamawa State Government.

Speaking earlier, the Chief Consultant of the firm, Ambassador Ibrahim M. Bashir, commended the governor for supporting professional development in the state public service.

He said the training would equip participants with skills needed to become more efficient, effective and result-oriented in carrying out official responsibilities.

According to him, participants will receive lectures and practical sessions on protocol and etiquette, official ceremonies, precedence, dining etiquette, convoy management, flags and logos, as well as synergy among security personnel, protocol staff and media officers.

Bashir expressed confidence that the exercise would improve participants’ attitudes, relationship management and overall approach to public service assignments.

The Permanent Secretary, Administration, Hamman Bello Aminu, hosted the programme, which attracted government officials, protocol officers and security personnel attached to the Government House.
