He urged farmers in the state to exercise more patience as he would abide by his words.
He, however said that the Growth Enhancement Support Scheme (GES), a partnership initiative with the federal government to boost the production of maize, rice, cocoa and cassava has taken off successfully.
Imoke said that in 2013, the state undertook to establish an integrated Centre for Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship at Abi Local Government Area of the state and confirmed that physical development of the project site which is to be run in partnership with Songhai Regional Centre in Port Novo, Benin Republic is underway and the training of farmers for the pilot scheme has commenced.
He said his administration is also looking at a project called ‘Project Awake’ which is billed to create 4,000 jobs for females in agric in the state over the next three years.
