Gov. Lawal Approves 95km Road Project in Tsafe

Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the construction of a 95-kilometre road linking several communities in Tsafe Local Government Area, in what officials describe as the longest single road project awarded by his administration in the area.

The approval was granted during a State Executive Council meeting presided over by the governor at the Government House in Gusau.

According to the governor, the road will connect communities across the eastern axis of the local government, improving movement of people and goods within the area.

Lawal disclosed in a post on his social media handle that the council approved the project as part of efforts to expand road infrastructure in rural communities.

“The 95km road covers Yandoton Daji to Chediya, Doka to ‘Yan Waren Daji, Hayin Alhaji to Bedi, Unguwar Joji, ‘Yankuzo and terminates in Tsafe,” the governor said.

He said the project is expected to enhance connectivity among the affected communities and stimulate economic activities across the axis.
