The Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Aliyu Idris Zakari, has commended the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, for his exemplary leadership, youth-inclusive governance, simplicity, and strong commitment to youth-friendly initiatives.

Zakari gave the commendation following the governor’s recent Ramadan iftar with over 100 youth groups across the state. The gathering brought together representatives of various youth organizations with the aim of strengthening unity, fostering collaboration, and creating a platform for the governor to directly engage with young people while listening to their concerns and ideas.

The Speaker noted that such engagements demonstrate Governor Radda’s dedication to participatory governance and meaningful youth involvement in decision-making processes.

He also applauded the initiatives and policies being implemented through the Katsina State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Surajo Yazid Abukur. According to him, the ministry has played a key role in promoting unity among young people in the state and empowering them to become productive citizens and worthy ambassadors of Katsina State.

Zakari further urged other state governors across the federation to emulate Governor Radda’s leadership style, particularly his commitment to youth engagement, inclusiveness, and grassroots development.

He emphasized that leaders who prioritize youth development are laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth and national progress.
