Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda received a high-level delegation of sympathisers at his country home in Radda village following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Radda, on Saturday.
The governor was in Saudi Arabia performing the lesser hajj when the death occurred.
The condolence delegation was led by Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahya Daura, and Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari.
Prominent political figures who paid their respects included Yobe State Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, along with federal lawmakers Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri (Mashi/Dutsi constituency), Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed (Matazu/Musawa constituency), and Hon. Sada Soli (Jibia/Kaita constituency).
Other dignitaries present were former DSS Director and Sardaunan Katsina, Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i, former Secretary to the State Government, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, APC State Chairman, Alhaji Sani Aliyu Daura, local government chairmen and traditional rulers who came to console the governor.
