Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has condoled the family of Senator Godiya Akwashiki, describing his death as a profound loss.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Addra, praised Senator Akwashiki’s humility, commitment, and service, saying his legacy will be cherished.
He said, “He was an accomplished public servant, courageous legislator, and devoted son of Eggon land,” Sule said, extending condolences to Akwashiki’s family and the people of Nasarawa North.
“The death of the distinguished Senator is painful not only to his family, the Eggon nation, and the people of Nasarawa North, but to our entire state and the Nigerian legislature.”

Daily Trust reports that Senator Godiya Akwashiki, who represented Nasarawa North, died at the age of 52.
He was receiving treatment at an Indian hospital when he passed away.
