The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of nepotism, corruption, and attempting to divert attention from his “misdeeds” by leveling allegations against his predecessor, Adegboyega Oyetola.
Briefing newsmen in Abuja on Sunday, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, Director of Media and Information, Osun APC, accused governor Adeleke of refusing to publish relevant information on the state’s e-procurement portal, contrary to the principles of transparency and accountability.
The APC also accused Adeleke of attempting to tarnish the image of Oyetola and his cabinet members by leveling false allegations against them.
The party maintained that Oyetola’s administration was transparent and accountable, and that all contracts were awarded in line with the Osun State Public Procurement Law.
“Governance should be about truth and due process, not political revenge. If there is proof, take it to court. If not, stop misleading the public. Oyetola’s legacy remains one of responsible leadership, and no amount of politically-motivated accusations will change that,” the statement added.
The APC called on governor Adeleke to focus on governing the state rather than engaging in petty politics and attempting to divert attention from his own misdeeds.
The party also urged the governor to obey the Court of Appeal judgment that reinstated the APC local government chairmen and councillors in the state.
