Your Excellency, I would like to bring to your notice the dire situation of the people in Katagum Local Government Area on the state of the firefighting truck in the area. The truck was involved in an accident ad it was badly damaged.
The incident occurred on Friday, 2 April 2021, on its way to an emergency scene.

Indeed, sir, we are now so worried and nervous being without a firefighting vehicle. We are scared if there is a fire outbreak how the situation could be tackled without a firefighting truck.
Your Excellency, this is the period when most outbreaks occur during the harmattan season, which we are in now, and one could only imagine the consequences, especially in the rural areas.
Sadly sir, this just happened on April 4, 2021, when a fire outbreak resulted in the death of a 5-year-old-girl in Matsango ward, here in Azare. The firefighters in the area fought successfully to rescue the parents of the dead girl along with their 4-month old baby.
Sir, as we are approaching International Firefighters’ Day, which will be observed on 4 May, we would be most delighted to observe the day with a brand new firefighting truck.
We, therefore, solicit your urgent intervention by providing us a brand-new firefighting vehicle.
