The Edo Continuity Network (ECN) has said that Governor Godwin Obaseki has done well and deserves to be re-elected come 2020 when the governorship election in the state would be conducted.

The group was reacting to a statement credited to the Edo Peoples Movement that Obaseki has not given account of his stewardship hence it was shopping for his replacement

The Director of Publicity of the group, Zibiri Muhammed, said Governor Obaseki has given a good account of his stewardship in the last three years and deserves a second term for consolidation.

Zibiri said on assumption of office, Obaseki clearly set out  to serve the people with the available resources rather than committing such resources to service the personal interests of few politicians who have hitherto held various offices without meaningful impactful.

According to him, Governor Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, have shown enough political determination and administrative competence as well as capacity to serve the people, adding that several awards given to them, including the teacher’s award, are evidence of their service to the people.
