Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has approved the appointment of Sa’adu Hassan as the Secretary of the state Muslims’ Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary, Special Services and Political Affairs Bureau, Ahmed Abubakar Mohammed on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government.
According to the statement, Sa’adu Hassan’s appointment was based on his experience, commitment to service and loyalty to the administration of Inuwa Yahaya.
The statement added that the appointment takes immediate effect and was pursuant to the powers conferred on the governor by the 1999 constitution as amended.
Hassan has served as Special Adviser during the administration of former Governors Muhammad Danjuma Goje and Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.
