Wife of the Governor of Nasarawa State, Hajiya Silifat Sule

The first lady of Nasarawa State, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule, has donated COVID-19 safety kits worth millions of naira to 248 schools.

She donated the items through her foundation, Silifat Abdullahi Sule Hope Foundation, in Lafia, saying that the gesture was her modest contribution to curtail further spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

The items include 3,800 gallons of liquid soap, 2,000 hand sanitisers and 800 basins for hand-washing.

Silifat Sule appealed to the schools to support the government to ensure that the COVID-19 virus was contained from spreading in the state and beyond.

She also called on the residents of the state to restore the confidence in government and governance, and thanked the people for believing in the administration of her husband.

Silifat explained that her pet project, Silifat Abdullahi Sule Hope Foundation, would continue to work closely with government to initiate programmes that would have positive impact on the lives of the people.

In her remark, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hajiya  Fatu Sabo, described the donation as the first of its kind in the state, and called for support from private organisations considering the enormous needs in the education sector.
