Adesina told a news conference in Ibadan that the school was disqualified for impersonating and using mercenaries, a violation of the rules and regulations of the competition.

According to the commissioner the schools was caught using two players from SS3 class and who answered different names.

“We have warned participating schools severally before the beginning of the competition against the use of mercenaries, impersonating and age cheat.

“Schools earlier caught for such offences have been disqualified. So, I see no reason why this school should also not be punished for it,” Adesina said.

According to him, the state was completely ready for the eradication of the gross indiscipline that has always bedeviled sports in the country.

“It is necessary that discipline be instilled in the players from this tender age.

“This is the right time to instill discipline into our youths so that they can grow to be good ambassadors of this nation,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the committee set up for the competition had earlier before the beginning of the competition warned competing schools against the use of mercenaries.

The committee stated that the players for the competition must be JS1 to SS2 students and at a maximum age limit of 16.(NAN)
