Government has been asked to rid schools of Lassa fever transmitting mice. The Head of Biochemistry Unit in the Science and Laboratory Technology (SLT) Department of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Dr. Semiu Ajiboso, made the call recently.
Dr. Ajiboso said the call became imperative in view of the increasing cases associated with the deadly virus which has claimed so many lives in some states of the federation.
“If we can control rats in our houses, Lassa fever can be controlled,” he said
