The Ebonyi State government weekend said it has put modalities in place for the economic empowerment of 235 spouses of the Army, Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), among others in the state.
The Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Job Creation, Uchenna Orji, stated this in Abakaliki while briefing newsmen on the numerous empowerment schemes of his ministry.
The Commissioner who added that the beneficiaries would be empowered with N250, 000 each, said the scheme was to ensure that no segment of the state would be left out in the state government’s policy of ensuring sustainable human capital development. Orji said the beneficiaries would be selected from and trained in institutions across the three senatorial zones of the state to ensure even spread.
