The Niger State Board of Internal Revenue Service (NGSIRS) has arrested its revenue officials, including a director in Bosso and Paikoro LGAs of the state for allegedly producing and selling their personal emblems and stickers to the public.
The board said it has intensified efforts to crack down and arrest individuals involved in the illegal production and sales of counterfeit motor vehicle stickers and emblems across the state.

The chairman, Niger State Internal Revenue Service, Mohammed Etsu Madami, said the activities of the suspected revenue officials violated Section 32 (3), (4), and (6) of the Niger State Tax Administration and Consolidation Law, 2022.
He said the state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has reiterated his administration’s zero-tolerance for corruption and warned that anyone found involved in illegal revenue collection or illegal production and distribution of government documents will be made to face the law.
