The Abia State Government has relaxed the curfew in some parts of the state from 8 pm- 6 am to 10 pm-6 am, with effect from June 18.

According to the statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, Aba and Umuahia municipalities would now observe curfew from 10pm-6am while Ohafia, Bende, Umunneochi and Arochukwu Local Government Areas of the state, would observe theirs from 8 pm -6 am.
He advised citizens and residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious movements to security agents and ensure full compliance with the new curfew regimes.
