A lecturer in Kogi State University, Anyigba, Prof Isa Jimoh, has called on both federal and state governments to increase their budgetary allocations for education to salvage the sector from its present decaying state.

The lecturer made the call while delivering a lecture at a reunion celebration organized by the old boys’ forum of Abdulaziz Atta Memorial College, Okene (AAMCO), Kogi State.

He stressed that education, which is the “bedrock and vehicle” to economic growth and development needs more funding.
