Gowon, Obasanjo, Jonathan, others attend Abdulsalami’s autobiography launch in Abuja

Former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, and former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan were among dignitaries who attended the launch of the autobiography of former Military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, in Abuja on Saturday.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Other prominent personalities at the ceremony included former Vice Presidents Namadi Sambo and Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu.

Traditional rulers also graced the occasion, including the Sa’ad Abubakar III and the Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, alongside several other royal fathers from across the country.

Also in attendance were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, Governor Umar Bago of Nigeria State, and other senior government officials.

Three books were unveiled during the event: Call of Duty: An Autobiography of Gen. Abdulsalami Alhaji Abubakar; Nigeria’s Grand Patriot: Gen. Abdulsalami Alhaji Abubakar; and Mediating for Peace in Africa: A Festschrift in Honour of Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar.
