Grammy honours Femi, Made Kuti

The legacy of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, pioneer of the afrobeat genre of music, lives on through his children and grandchild. Earlier today, Made, son of Femi Kuti took to his Instagram account to show a medal given to him by the Recording Academy as well as a certificate bestowed on him and his father.

The certificate which was signed by the Chief executive and the Chairman of the board trustees read;

“The recording academy presents this certificate to Femi Kuti and Made Kuti, in recognition of your nomination for best global music album ‘legacy +’ at the 64th Grammy Awards in the year 2021”.
