The former minister of information who gave the keynote address at the 7th annual public lecture of Lifeline Care Association in Abuja with the theme, ‘Creativity and Innovation: Key to African renaissance’, noted that the country needs to make deliberate policies that will harness its development.
“For Nigeria to really make that quantum progress, we need to invest more in our educational system, our educational institutions, research institutions, to encourage our academics, our talented people within our country to actually embrace research,” he said.
He said apart from supporting them financially, policies that fuel creativity and innovation must also be put in place, adding that ICT must be given priority while power and energy must be invested.”
