The Global Alliance for Peace and Unity (GAPU) has commended Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, for her conciliatory handling of a recent staff protest at the ministry.

Following the demonstration, Sulaiman-Ibrahim engaged workers in a town hall meeting where she pledged improved welfare, better tools, prompt reimbursements, and enhanced training opportunities.

Describing herself as a “listening mother,” the minister assured staff of her commitment to their wellbeing and encouraged collaboration for progress.

In a statement issued on Saturday, GAPU National President Solomon Pevkyaa said the minister’s calm and inclusive approach had restored confidence among workers and stakeholders.

He added that her promise of “better days ahead” reflected genuine commitment to the ministry and the empowerment of women across Nigeria.

Pevkyaa further called on staff to embrace dialogue, unity, and patience, noting that the minister had demonstrated openness and readiness to address concerns.

“With her assurances on welfare, tools, and training, we believe the Honourable Minister has once again shown that she is a leader who listens and builds bridges of understanding,” GAPU declared.
