The Create that Change Development Initiative (CCDI) has commissioned new toilet and library facilities at two schools in the Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
Abuja Metro reports that the benefitting schools are LEA Pilot Science Primary School and LEA Primary School Phase Three.
The facilities were built and renovated as part of the Public-School Revival Initiative, in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland.
The Executive Director of CCDI, Mrs. Sharon Ayeni, said the project was “more than just bricks, doorsandbooks; it’s about dignity, it’s about opportunity, and it’s about giving hope to our children.
“With every book that is placed in this library, we are opening windows not just to words but also to new worlds, sparking imaginations and equipping young minds with the tools to dream and to achieve,” she said.
In his remarks, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Switzerland, Mr. Siamak Rouhani, described the project as commendable, adding that the embassy was glad to support the initiative.
“What we commissioned this morning may look simple—a library—but in truth, it represents something much greater,” he said.
According to him, “A library means imagination, knowledge, and opportunities for a brighter future.”
