Group condemns attacks on Tinubu

The Leadership Center for Civil and Post-Trauma Rehabilitation has condemned what it described as unwarranted attacks on President Bola Tinubu by rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the group’s General Secretary, Dr. Agbi Manzo Abubaka, said the organization, along with its affiliates, was concerned about recent criticisms directed at the President.

According to the group, President Tinubu has introduced a number of reforms and policies that, in its view, are setting new standards in governance. It said these measures have projected Nigeria positively and demonstrated a commitment to strengthening democratic institutions.

The group called on security agencies to investigate Sowore’s statements, which it said went beyond the limits of responsible public discourse. It urged that appropriate legal steps be taken to safeguard the integrity of the office of the President.

“We welcome all Nigerians across social strata to join us in condemning these unwarranted attacks. We must stand together to protect the office of the President and the democratic project from those who seek to undermine it,” Dr. Abubaka said.

The Leadership Center reaffirmed its support for the President and his administration, pledging to continue defending the institution of the Presidency against what it described as malicious attacks.
