The National Youth Movement of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has congratulated former Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatai Ahmed, on his appointment as Chairman of the party’s Presidential Electoral Committee.

The congratulatory message was delivered during a joint press briefing in Abuja by the National Coordinator of the Movement, Umar Abdulrahman Etudaye, and the National Secretary, Yakubu Nurudeen Yahaya.

According to the Movement, Ahmed’s appointment reflects the confidence reposed in his “integrity, leadership capacity, and longstanding commitment to democratic values, transparency, justice, and internal party credibility.”

The group also commended the former governor’s commitment to the rule of law, accountability and democratic governance, noting that his leadership experience made him suitable for the assignment.

The Movement expressed confidence that the Presidential Electoral Committee under Ahmed’s leadership would ensure “fairness, transparency, and credibility” in carrying out its responsibilities.

It further wished him a successful tenure and prayed for wisdom, strength and guidance in the discharge of his duties.

The statement was jointly signed by Etudaye and Yahaya on behalf of the ADC National Youth Movement.
