Group demands water, toilet facilities in FCT IDP camps

Dr Stella Kuforiji-Eshiet, Chairman, Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), has called on well spirited Nigerians to assist in providing water and toilet facilities to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in the FCT.
Kuforiji-Eshiet told newsmen yesterday that the provision of facilities would help to reduce the likely outbreak of diseases in the camps.
According to her, it is saddening to note that all the 21 IDPs camps lacked water and toilets, thereby making open defecation a common practice.
“The association in partnership with other development partners have gone to the IDPs camps in the FCT, what we saw is unimaginable. (NAN)
