A group, Marriage is Beautiful, has donated some relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs ) in Kuchingoro camp, Abuja, in celebrating this year’s Christmas.
The coordinator of the foundation, Pastor John Shuaibu, who was at the camp with his team, while donating the materials which included foodstuffs, clothing materials and cash, said they were motivated to support the displaced persons because “the life of a man is embodied in the impact he makes in people.”
He said no amount of wealth can compare to giving hope to the hopeless, adding that they were also motivated to use their personal resources for charity in marking the second year of their existence.
“Our main focus is addressing the issue of marriage and what it stands for in creating harmony and encouraging couples to remain married,” he said.
Receiving the materials on behalf of the displaced persons, the women leader, Lady Mathias, said they were grateful for every gift brought to them to relieve them of their suffering.
She added that they knew it would go a long way in helping them have a memorable Christmas celebration.
