The National Democratic Front (NDF) has faulted the recent demand by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for exclusion of military from the forthcoming governorship election in the country.
The group said the comment credited to Uche Secondus, the national chairman of the party that military should not be allowed to be on the field for the remaining elections on March 9, is not in national interest.
Bolaji Abdulkadir, Secretary General, who faulted Secondus’ claim at a press conference held in Abuja on Saturday, urged the military to ignore the PDP chairman and focus on the instruction given to it by Mr. President.
The group also advised troops to ensure that next Saturday’s elections do not fall prey to ballot box snatchers.
