A Missionary arm of the Society of St. Christopher and Caritas Sustainable Development Foundation has established a multi-million Micro-Finance Group, to cater for the less privileged in the society to access non-interest loan.

The Chief Missioner, Bishop Oluwaseun Fagbohun, at a press conference held in Ado-Ekiti noted that the group will help the people to access finance for those in need in the society.

According to the Bishop, the access for help comes from their partners, saying the new initiative has officially started in Ekiti State capital, and Nigeria, with other branches in FCT, Venue and Kogi States.

Bishop Fagbohun said the group is a solution centre for those in need, as their partners include Tocims food bank, and charity store and Tripom, a rightous people’s movement.

Fagbohun expressed concerns over the economic situation in the state, noting that the rising inflation has compounded hardship among residents. He maintained that tackling hunger is essential to promoting electoral integrity.

On eligibility, the Bishop stressed the need for beneficiaries to embrace righteous living, which he said is critical to national transformation.

He noted that hunger undermines moral judgement and weakens the ability of citizens to make ethical decisions.
