Group Hails Tinubu, NDDC, Otuaro, For Collaborative Approach To Address Regional Challenges

The Niger Delta Youth for Positive Change (NDYPC) has commended President Bola Tinubu and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for the successful hosting of the recent Niger Delta Stakeholders Summit.

The group also commended the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dennis Otuaro, for his commitment to the development of the region.

According to a statement released by the group’s National Coordinator, Comrade Elliot Yibakeni Yibalua, on Saturday, “the summit was a resounding success, and we applaud President Tinubu’s commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region. The event brought together various stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the region, and we are encouraged by the outcomes.”

The group praised the NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for his collaborative approach to regional development and vision in organizing the summit, which they described as “a game-changer for the region.

They also commended Otuaro’s dedication to the amnesty programme, saying, “his commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region is quite commendable, and we appreciate his efforts in ensuring that brotherly love, mutual understanding and respect first for the people.

“We agree with his stance that stakeholders’ engagement is a critical part in the design of regional growth, prosperity, stability thereby ensuring peace will always come first.”

The group called on all stakeholders to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the summit’s resolutions, saying, “We must work together to ensure that the outcomes of the summit are not left on the shelves but are translated into tangible development projects that will benefit our people.”

The NDYPC reiterated its support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged to continue working with the government and other stakeholders to ensure the rapid development of the Niger Delta region.

The Niger Delta Stakeholders Summit, with the theme, “Renewed Hope for Sustainable Development of the Niger Delta Region”, was a three-day event organized by the Managing Director of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.

It had in attendance several prominent figures, including Former President Goodluck Jonathan, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
