A Kano based Islamic group, Sharifai Unity Forum, has held a one-month special prayer session for President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s victory in the forthcoming general elections.
During the prayer session the group also prayed for peaceful conduct of 2019 general elections and peace to prevail in Nigeria.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the prayer session held at Waje Central mosque in Fagge local government, leader of the forum, Malam Muhammad Abubakar Sharif said the special prayer session was organised to seek divine intervention for peaceful conduct of 2019 general elections and victory for Buhari and Ganduje.
He said the two leaders deserved a second term to enable them complete the good work they started, noting that they have done well in the areas of infrastructure, empowerment, security and employment among others.
“We will continue to pray for our dear nation and its good people. We
will continue to pray for the prevalence of peace and unity. We feel that Buhari and Ganduje deserve our support during the next election because they have executed projects that positively impacted on our lives,” Sharif said.
