A youth group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State has declared its support for Senator Emmanuel Bwacha ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The group, operating under the platform Hope for Taraba 2027, held a rally on Friday in Jalingo, where it called on the APC leadership to consider Bwacha as its governorship candidate in the next election.
Speaking to journalists at the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) House, the leader of the group, Hon. Abdulrazak Mahmud Limam, alongside the APC youth secretary, Wilson Oguche, said the endorsement was based on their assessment of leadership needs in the state.
According to them, Bwacha possesses the experience and capacity required to provide effective leadership and drive development in Taraba State.
The group also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to support their call, describing Bwacha as a politician with a record of legislative experience at the National Assembly.
They further stated that their support was motivated by a desire to see renewed focus on development, governance, and inclusive growth in the state ahead of the next election cycle.
The youths said they would continue to mobilise support across Taraba State in the build-up to the 2027 governorship election.
