“Our mission is to sanitise the political process through the eradication of political godfathers in all the positions; starting from councillors’ seats to as high as the presidential seat,” it said.

It explained that the group would work to ensure that only people’s choice are allowed to contest any seat, saying it would use questionnaires to get peoples’ contribution on how to salvage the electoral process from the power of the godfathers.

Another area that the group is working to eradicate is the use of money during election. It stressed the need for the electorates to desist from collecting money from contestants, saying such action was tantamount to selling one’s rights.

It added, “If the electorate desist from collecting money, the looting of public funds by politicians would be erased from the society, just as it will help foster unity among people.”
