The Patriotic Now Movement (PNM) has called on federal and state authorities to provide immediate protection for Mrs. Susan Sophia Ogunremi, following what the group described as repeated attacks on her in recent years.

In a statement signed by its president, Olalere Benedict Adetunji, the organisation said Mrs. Ogunremi and her family had experienced multiple violent incidents in Ogun and Lagos states, prompting concerns for her safety. According to the group, the reported attacks occurred in Sagamu, Ikorodu, and most recently in Shomolu, where she allegedly sustained an injury.

PNM said the recurrence of the incidents highlighted the need for urgent intervention by security agencies. It urged the Federal Government, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, and the Lagos and Ogun State governments to investigate the reports and ensure adequate protection for Mrs. Ogunremi.

The group also appealed to civil society organisations and community leaders to support efforts aimed at safeguarding citizens who feel threatened.

PNM reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for public safety and called for stronger measures to address insecurity across the country.
