CAPP is an organizer and sponsor of the public awareness programmes for the Nigerian citizens in order to actively participate in the electoral processes.
During the sensitization at Sky Bank Hall of the university, the Acting Director, CAPP, Mr. Nelson Ananze urged the students and youths of the state to get involved in all the processes of the election.
Mr. Ananze said that there is need to educate the youths on why they should resist been used as instrument of violence during elections by selfish politicians.
He said that the programme tagged campus conversation with students of University of Jos is one of their ways of mobilizing youths to participate fully in every election in the state.
He added that it was also another way of implementing the passage of the ‘Not-Too-Young-To-Run Bill’, because some youths may not be aware of this advantage.
In a keynote address, Comrade Steve Aluko, urged the youths of the state to take the political destiny of the state in their own hands by actively participating in every elections in the state commencing from the proposed council election.
He also gave them the instance of France where one of the youths participated and won election as the president of the country at the age of 39
