The Kebbi APC Youth Vanguard (KAYV) has dismissed recent claims by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State, describing the opposition’s position as unrealistic.

In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Adamu Ahmed, the group was reacting to comments by the ADC while welcoming former Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, following his release from detention.

The ADC had expressed confidence in its ability to unseat the incumbent governor, Nasir Idris, citing what it described as governance failures by the current administration.

However, Ahmed rejected the claim, stating that the opposition’s position does not reflect the political reality in the state.

“The ADC’s position does not align with the situation on ground in Kebbi State,” Ahmed said.

The group maintained that the current administration continues to enjoy the confidence and support of the people of the state.

It therefore urged opposition parties to focus on presenting alternative policy ideas and programmes to the electorate.
