The Prudent Women Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. (PW-MPCS) will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a grand event featuring the unveiling of “100 Prudent Women: A Compendium of the Most Inspiring Biographies” on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

The celebration will also mark the official launch of the Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation (PWAAF) and the flag-off of a 12-month National Mentorship and Community Activation Programme, scheduled to run from December 2025 to November 2026.

The anniversary event will combine a book presentation, recognition ceremony, and mentorship programme rollout, mobilising the expertise of 100 outstanding Nigerian women—featured in the compendium—to mentor girls and empower communities across the country.

President and Founder of the Prudent Women Cooperative and Convener of PWAAF, Mrs. Msurshima Comfort Chenge, described the anniversary as “more than a book launch—it’s a national mentorship compact uniting integrity, excellence, and impact to help young women rise, backed by real examples and measurable community outcomes.”

Reflecting on the cooperative’s journey, she noted that what began as a small circle of women has grown into a vibrant network of over 7,000 members across Nigeria and the diaspora, all driven by faith, financial discipline, and a shared commitment to positive change.

“This fifth anniversary is not just about numbers,” Mrs. Chenge said. “It’s a tribute to women of impact whose resilience, achievements, and faith continue to inspire others.”

Through “100 Prudent Women: A Compendium of the Most Inspiring Biographies”, the organization aims to celebrate and preserve the legacies of women whose lives embody strength, integrity, and purpose.

The publication profiles 100 exceptional women from diverse fields including public service, diplomacy, law, engineering, academia, development, industry, faith leadership, arts, and sports.

Speaking on the new direction, Mrs. Chenge said the launch of PWAAF and the mentorship programme marks a strategic transition from a savings-based cooperative to a structured advocacy and mentorship platform that addresses women’s financial, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

“By establishing mentorship chapters nationwide, Prudent Women aims to build a holistic ecosystem that nurtures the ‘Total Woman’—one who is financially empowered, socially impactful, and anchored in godly values,” she explained.

From December 2025, PWAAF will implement a structured mentorship pipeline that includes school and community clubs, leadership and life-skills sessions, gender-based violence (GBV) awareness and referral linkages, digital and financial literacy training, and girl-led micro-projects with measurable outcomes and transparent reporting.

Project Director, Mr. Robert Ahen Chenge, said the new phase emphasizes practical engagement over symbolic recognition.

“We are moving beyond inspiration to implementation,” he said. “These 100 stories become 100 living classrooms—taking mentorship, protection, and opportunity to real communities.”

The initiative will engage institutions and leaders across sectors that intersect with women’s empowerment, education, health, justice, youth development, and community security.

Key collaborators include Federal and State ministries and agencies, the Legislature and Judiciary, professional bodies, universities, research institutions, civil society, advocacy groups, and faith-based organizations.
