The Renewed Hope Youth Alliance has kicked against the planned protest against the government of President Bola Tinubu.

This is contained in a statement on Sunday by Amb. Israel Akinola, Coordinator of Renewed Hope Youth Alliance.

The statement read in part: “The Renewed Hope Youth Alliance, representing the conscientious and patriotic youth of Nigeria, issues a stern warning against participating in the upcoming protest organized by delusional individuals intent on destabilizing our beloved nation. As young Nigerians committed to peace, stability, and progress, we categorically reject the treasonous motives behind this planned demonstration.

“This protest is being spearheaded by those who have ruined their own political parties and now seek to spread chaos and discontent across the country. These gatherings attract disaffected individuals whose emotional states are being manipulated for nefarious purposes. Well-meaning Nigerians, aware of the true menace posed by this protest, will not join in such destructive activities.

“In 2023, the Nigerian electorate placed their trust in President Bola Tinubu, a leader who campaigned tirelessly across all 36 states, promising to renew hope and address the frustrations caused by previous administrations. Nigerians, weary of the 16-year reign of the “Pro Delusional Party” (PDP) and the subsequent 8-year governance of President Buhari, saw Tinubu as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change.

“President Tinubu’s administration, barely 19 months old, remains steadfast in its commitment to renewing the hope of Nigerians. Notable achievements include pegging the minimum wage at ₦70,000, launching youth-centric initiatives such as the student loan portal, and winning a Supreme Court case on Local Government autonomy. These actions demonstrate his dedication to improving the lives of all Nigerians, especially the youth.

“The Renewed Hope Youth Alliance stands united and resolute against this protest. We will not allow the destructive agenda of a few to jeopardize the peace, stability, and progress of our country. We urge all Nigerian youths to see through the deceit and manipulation and reject any participation in this treasonous activity.

“Nigeria’s future is bright under President Tinubu’s leadership. The Renewed Hope Youth Alliance calls on all young Nigerians to support the government’s efforts and continue working towards a more prosperous and united nation. We say NO to anarchy, NO to treason, and YES to a peaceful and progressive Nigeria.”
