The Women in Business (WIMBIZ) has equipped young girls through its empowerment programme at Community Secondary School, Asokoro, Abuja, calling for the institutionalisation of entrepreneurship in secondary schools to deepen industrialisation in the country.
A member of Board of Trustees (BoT) of WIMBIZ and a Quantity Surveyor, Dr. Celestina Eke, made the call yesterday in Abuja at the WIMBIZ 2024 Big Sister Program.
The event was for aspiring female secondary school students from diverse backgrounds, offering essential tools, mentorship, and inspiration to help them pursue their ambitions.
She said that since its inception in 2016, the programme had impacted over 6,000 girls across Nigeria, equipping them with the guidance and life skills essential for personal and professional development.

“We are here to equip you with life skills that no textbook can teach you and prepare you for the exciting journey ahead,” Dr Eke said.
The Principal, Community Secondary School, Asokoro, Alhaji Sa’idu Ahmed, expressed joy in the school’s partnership with Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN), highlighting the institution’s commitment to empowering youth through entrepreneurship and leadership training.
