The group expressed optimism that his return to power is relevant for democracy in Egypt and the world.
A leader of the group, Ehab Sheha and Chairman of the Al Salah Party, who spoke through an interpreter at a press conference in Abuja, berated the coup staged by the Field Marshal Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi after the Egyptian revolution last year.
At the conference which was organised by the Centre for Peace Advocacy he said the coup is destroying democracy not only in Egypt but also in the world.
The group which commended Nigeria and the African Union (AU) at condemning coup called for an understanding from people in appreciating the excesses of the government which he said included media gagging, inadequate electricity, problem of petroleum products and insecurity.
