Groups laud Okpebholo for appointing Muslim SSG, Chief of Staff

Muslim Groups, Edo Muslim for Equity and Good Governance (EMEGG) and Edo Muslim Youths Advocacy Initiative (EMYAI), have commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for appointing  Muslims as the Secretary to the State Government and Chief Of Staff.
Recall that Okpebholo in his first appointment after his swearing named  Musa Ikhilor, as SSG and Gani Audu as his Chief of Staff
The duo in their congratulatory messages said Okpeboholo has made history by being the first governor of the State since 1999 to appoint Muslims as SSG and Chief of Staff.
EMEGG  Coordinator, Shiekh Sirajudeen Muhammad, said with his recent appointments of Muslims, Okpebholo’s   promise of inclusive governance had been fulfilled.
“Governor Monday Okpebholo has truly made history in Edo State These are two positions among others that Muslims have never occupied in the history of this state. This is a clear demonstration of the Governor’s commitment to equity, inclusivity, and the recognition of competence in governance.”
On his part, EMYAI coordinator, Alhaji Saheed Mahmud,  said they were confident that his tenure would bring remarkable progress, unity and prosperity to the people of Edo.
The initiative said with Ikhilor in Okpebholo’s team, it is confident that the administration would advance Edo to greater heights.
