Nasarawa United have been given an opportunity to end the season on a good note after being paired with Kwara United in the 2023 Federation Cup Round of 16.
The Solid Miners who were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League at the hands of their opponents will seek a revenge and to pick a quarter-final ticket.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), fixtures in this round of the Federation Cup are to be decided on Wednesday, May 24, with eight of these to be played at six venues.
With heavyweights such as Enyimba, defending champions Bayelsa United, Akwa United and Shooting Stars getting knocked out, the 2023 edition of the competition could produce a new champion.

Former champions Heartland, Bendel Insurance, Lobi Stars, Plateau United and Rangers will on their part, be hoping to add another cup to their cabinet.
In the same vein, the quarterfinals stage of the Women’s Federation Cup will see eight teams attempt to proceed to the semi-finals of the 2023 edition of the competition and go two steps closer to being Nigeria’s ultimate champions.
According to the NFF, the quarterfinals of the women’s cup are expected to hold on Thursday, May 11.
Meanwhile, after having been granted bypasses in earlier stages of the competition due to an uneven number of teams, defending champions Bayelsa Queens will finally play their first match in the competition.
