The Police Command in Ogun State has arrested a security guard and two others for alleged conspiracy and vehicle theft in the Ibafo area of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abeokuta.

Babaseyi identified the suspects as Obada Ezekiel (27), Emmanuel Timothy (25), and Yaya Yakubu (27).

He said the suspects were arrested on Saturday at about 11 am following a distress call and credible intelligence.

According to the spokesperson, operatives of the Ibafo Division tracked the suspects to a hideout where an ash-coloured Lexus RX 300 SUV was recovered.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that Ezekiel, a security guard attached to the vehicle, allegedly conspired with the others to steal it from Lagos. They moved the vehicle to Ibafo for disposal,” Babaseyi said. (NAN)
