The Ogun State Government-owned So-Safe Corps has arrested a suspected security guard, Adewale Adegbenro, in Odeda Local Government Area, for breake into the house he was watching over and stealing jewelry worth N15 million in December, 2021.
A statement by the So-Safe Corps Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf, reads in part: “The corps was contacted by Force CIID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State, that one Mr Adewale Adegbenro popularly called Akilapa has been declared wanted for breaking into the residence of his employer at Adigbe, Abeokuta.”
The suspect was said to have “carted away gold and other jewelry worth N15m since December 14, 2021.”
Yusuf further said the special squad of the corps went after Adegbenro and that he was arrested in Odeda after he was closely monitored by officers of the corps on Monday, January 24.
He added that the suspect had been transferred to the Force CIID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State.
