Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima has approved the appointment of Dr Bulama Mali Gubio as Chairman of the Borno State Civil Service Commission.

Gubio, 63, is the spokesman of Borno Elders Forum (BEF). He had variously served as Head of the Borno State Civil Service and permanent secretary in many ministries. He is a former teacher, principal, acting provost, patron of many organizations, local government sole administrator, member and chairman of many committees and panels; and an honourary adviser on education before he finally retired from service in 2007.

 Dr Gubio is an alumnus of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
