Gunduwawa community members in Gezawa local government area of Kano state have called on government to expand Kano-Hadejia road to dual carriageway to minimize frequent accidents on the road.

Spokesperson of the community, Ibrahim Burga Gunduwawa stated that the rate at which accidents occur along the road is alarming due to the nature of the highway.

“The road is becoming a death trap to motorists as accidents virtually occur on daily basis. Lives and property are being lost on this road and this has been a growing concern to our community which necessitate for the call on the government to continue with the dualization of the road which stopped at Tokarawa to save our lives and that of the road users,” Burga said.

The community commended officials of the Federal Road safety Corps (FRSC) and Gezawa Divisional Police Office for doing their best along road to ensure safety of the road users and residents of the community.
