Gunmen have abducted four farmers in Bishini village in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.
A resident, Mu’azu Bala, said the incident happened around 3pm on Saturday when the farmers were clearing their fields ahead of cultivation.
He explained that the bandits, who were wielding AK-47 rifles, surrounded the victims and whisked them away.
He further said, “The farmers who are from the same family just returned home on Saturday to clear their farms. Their abductors are yet to communicate with their family.”
Bala also said that 56 cows were rustled after gunmen attacked a Fulani settlement in neighbouring Kuchimi village on the same Saturday.
He said the bandits who struck around 9pm shot and injured two herders during the attack, adding that the bandits also stole foodstuffs.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, SP Hassan Mansur, did not respond to calls and a text message sent to him on the incidents.
