A son of the late District Head of Wako in Kwali Area Council of the FCT, Mr Sanusi Usman, has been abducted by gunmen in the Kwaita-Tsoho community of the council.
A relative of the victim, Ibrahim Yakubu, said the incident happened on Monday, around 8pm when the gunmen, in their large numbers, invaded Sanuni’s residence and whisked him away amid gunfire.
A member of Kwaita-Tsoho community, Habaku Daniel, who also confirmed the incident, said the entire community was thrown into pandemonium due to the heavy gunfire which forced them to escape into their houses.
He said, “In fact, Sanusi was even seated on top of his car bonnet in front of his house when the gunmen appeared and whisked him away.”
Abuja Metro learnt that the victim is a senior staff member with the Local Education Authority (LEA) in Abaji.
The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, said the command was not aware of the incident.
